Premium turkey hunts in northeast Nebraska. We have access to thousands of acres of prime turkey hunting country, from creek and river bottoms to cedar and oak draws you will be able to experience all of it. We hunt multiple properties within about an hour of where you will be staying when you come for your hunt (Norfolk, NE.) Nebraska allows up to three (3) non-resident and resident turkey tags in the spring. In the areas we hunt we have a mixture of Merriams, Easterns, and Hybrids you will have the opportunity to harvest. Archery season usually starts on March 25th with shotgun season opening the second weekend in April. During the first month of the season we do mainly blind hunts patterning birds that are still in larger wintering flocks not broken up yet. Towards the end of April we start doing more Run and Gun style of hunts when birds have broken up and are more responsive to calling. During a typical day we may do a blind sit in the morning, walk and call midday, and attempt to roost a tom for the next morning. We will always try to chose the best option to be successful in harvesting a nice tom, so be prepared for any type of hunting and weather. We have an extremely high success rate for turkeys here at Nomad Outfitters, if you are unable to harvest a turkey on your trip with us you will be more than welcome to come hunt the following season for free.
